~Sorry for late reply and thank you both for the replies. Readying to save a Sabayon dl (picked XFCE) aside this week as I've acquired 2 clients' laptops this week so I hope to be able to run a full daily drive to see how it goes. . One is AMD Fusion E450 based Brazos iinmand the other an Ultrabook. @MikeL yeah that's precisely the prob with AMD + Linux distros' atm.unfortunately.

The review is done in a virtual environment with their accelerated video driver.

In Rigo you can search for radeon or ATI drivers and the graphics is supported from r600 and up (HD2000) but cannot test them.

Hardware-wise the Intel Ivy Bridge is a better bet for performance and battery life over the newer A10 APU from AMD.

There isn't too much info out there about APU support. Maybe someone with AMD graphics or an APU based user can answer these questions.

This is what I found for AMD drivers from Gentoo's website: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/xorg-config.xml

What's the base sys used for the review? I'm holding out to upgrade for something like this; http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/15/samsung-refreshes-series-5-laptops-with-amd-trinity-processors/ but admittedly I'm torn between that and/or Ivy Bridge based ones.

Can Sabayon run out of the box on supplied AMD drivers? I'm not used to Gentoo based stuff and Debian/Ubuntu/Mint works better w/ Intel+nVIDIA combos more than half the time.
